RESOLUTION OF THE FACULTY SENATE
OCTOBER 14, 2008
WHEREAS, The University of Mississippi, as an institution of higher learning, is committed to providing a learning environment that offers extraordinary intellectual experiences and scholarly inquiry for its students and faculty;
WHEREAS, The University of Mississippi, as a public university of the State of Mississippi, is committed to providing service to the citizens of the State and the Country;
WHEREAS, The University of Mississippi is committed to being a great American Public University;
LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Senate of the Faculty at The University of Mississippi, acknowledge the efforts and success of the University Staff, Students and Faculty in securing and hosting the 2008 Presidential Debate and the more than 100 associated Debate events.
We honor their efforts by having this resolution spread in the minutes of the Faculty Senate for posterity.
